Our Story


That Street Food Van is a Mexican Street Food kitchen on wheels. Based in South-East Wales, we mainly operate in and around Cardiff, but are always looking for new places to explore, and new faces to give our food a try.

Our journey began when we started attending Street Food festivals in and around Cardiff and being instantly drawn to the friendliness of the traders and the incredible food they were cooking up in the confines of their fabulous trucks and stalls.

Being young and restless in our normal weekday jobs, we decided to jump in and put our own creations to the test.

Mexican food was always going to be our first choice, with it's versatility, its incredible flavours and fantastic kick of heat, what's not to love. Throw in cheese, guacamole and super tasty homemade salsas and you have the perfect street food. Just make sure you grab a napkin!

We’re now 5 years in to running our business, with our whole summer being taken over by big food festivals around the country and magical weddings. As well as still adulting in a 9-5 job and being parents to our wild toddler. 
We love it. 

Meet Ivy


Ivy is our self converted Iveco van. Formerly a carpet removal van but always destined for something far greater.

With the priceless help of our family, and a lot of painfully early frosty mornings, she was transformed into the wonderful street food truck that she is today.
